About Gina

Born and raised in Westhampton, NY, Gina fell in love with writing and the performing arts at an early age. At three years old she used to steal books from the library shelves and claim she could "read" them, making up her own stories as she went.  In the fifth grade her teacher reported that she'd always leave Gina's writing assignments as the last to read with a big cup of tea, because there were always so many twists and turns to look forward to.

While during school hours Gina always looked forward to English and writing, after school her heart was dedicated to dancing and performing.  At two she began learning tap and jazz and by the time she graduated high school she had competed on a national level as a soloist and competition member.  She went on to choreograph multiple shows in Suffolk County and her alma mater, Hofstra University (2012-2016), earning herself a Teeny Award and Alphie Award for Best Choreography.  Between her own school district, dance studio, and local theatre company, Gina has had the pleasure of teaching the art of dance and performing to children ages 2 to 16.

After graduation, Gina moved to Orlando, FL where she was a Character and Parade Performer at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. You might have even seen her dancing down Main Street in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade in 2016 or do-si-do-ing in Mickey's Backyard Barbecue Dinner Show.  At the close of her performing contract at Disney World, Gina went onto be a Character and Show Performer for Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Fantasy, where she was cast in Disney's Wishes and Mickey's Pirates of the Caribbean.

Presently, in 2020, Gina continues her passions of writing and performing back on Long Island, NY.  She hopes to share her passions with young children as a teacher, and will complete her Masters Degree in Childhood and Early Childhood Education in May 2021.  Today, Gina continues to write as as part of her daily routine, providing SEO optimized copy for various websites and small businesses around the country.  Additionally, Gina is proud to be nearing completion on her first novel, a middle grade fiction book that explores technology, familial relationships, and fighting for what is right, no matter the cost.
